Precocene II

Precocene II , an insect growth regulator, it inhibits the production of juvenile hormone (JH) in insects, it is highly toxic to adult female Rhodnius and treatment of newly emerged females prevented oogenesis. Precocene II is structurally related to several naturally occurring carcinogenic and non-carcinogenic alkenylbenzenes, is genotoxic and produces hepatic centrolobular necrosis in rats.
