The packaging of the product may have turned upside down during transportation, resulting in the natural compounds adhering to the neck or cap of the vial. take the vial out of its packaging and gently shake to let the compounds fall to the bottom of the vial. for liquid products, centrifuge at 200-500 RPM to gather the liquid at the bottom of the vial. try to avoid loss or contamination during handling. |

J Nat Prod. 2006 Nov;69(11):1591-5. | Triterpene saponins from clematis mandshurica.[Pubmed: 17125227 ] | METHODS AND RESULTS:
Four new triterpene saponins, clematomandshurica saponin A, Clematomandshurica saponin B,clematomandshurica saponin C, clematomandshurica saponin D (1-4), together with three known saponins (5-7) have been isolated from the roots and rhizomes of Clematis mandshurica. Their structures were elucidated on the basis of their spectroscopic evidence and hydrolysis.
CONCLUSIONS:
Clematomandshurica saponin A and Clematomandshurica saponin B showed significant inhibitory activity on cyclooxygenase-2 (IC50 = 2.66 and 2.58 microM, respectively). |
