Laurycolactone B Description

Source:	The roots of Eurycoma longifolia Jack.
Solvent:	Chloroform, Dichloromethane, Ethyl Acetate, DMSO, Acetone, etc.
Storage:	Providing storage is as stated on the product vial and the vial is kept tightly sealed, the product can be stored for up to 24 months(2-8C). Wherever possible, you should prepare and use solutions on the same day. However, if you need to make up stock solutions in advance, we recommend that you store the solution as aliquots in tightly sealed vials at -20C. Generally, these will be useable for up to two weeks. Structure of laurycolactone A and B, new C18 - quassinoids from Eurycoma longifolia and revised structured of Eurycomalactone (X - ray analysis)[Reference: WebLink]

METHODS AND RESULTS:
Laurycolactone A and Laurycolactone B are new quassinoids with a C18 basic skeleton isolated from the Vietnamese Simaroubaceae, Eurycoma longifolia Jack. The structure of Eurycomalactone, a C19 quassinoid isolated previously from the same plant, has been revised and shown to be .
CONCLUSIONS:
The structures have been established by spectral means and those of and confirmed by X-ray diffraction analysis.

Quassinoids from Eurycoma longifolia.[Pubmed: 11937162]

METHODS AND RESULTS:
Three quassinoids, eurycolactone D (1), eurycolactone E (2) and eurycolactone F (3) were isolated from the roots of Eurycoma longifolia Jack.
CONCLUSIONS:
The structures of 1-3 were elucidated by spectroscopic methods, and that of 3 was further confirmed by X-ray crystallography. The known quassinoids, Laurycolactone B (4) and eurycomalactone (5) were also identified.
